MULTI-TIER HEAVY INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY & PROCESS EQUIPMENT PLATFORM

Project Type:

Multi-Tier Industrial Machinery & Equipment Platform

Location:

Düsseldorf (Ruhr Industrial Hub), Germany

Tonnage :

32 Tons

Software:

Tekla Structures (LOD 400)

Scope:

3D Modeling, Shop Drawings & CNC Data

Engineered to support heavy processing equipment, industrial mixers, and high-capacity pump skids within a major manufacturing facility in the Düsseldorf industrial corridor, this multi-tier structural steel platform balances extreme dynamic stiffness with ergonomic operational access. Modeled to exhaustive LOD 400 precision within Tekla Structures, the structure incorporates robust primary column bents, integrated lateral knee-bracings, and multi-level floor framing designed to absorb intense operational equipment vibrations without resonance.

The primary structural detailing challenge was resolving localized high-point loadings and thermal pipe expansions while ensuring unhindered access for routine maintenance. Our BIM engineering team detailed bespoke skid mounting cleats, reinforced floor penetration cut-outs, and heavy bar-grating layouts fully compliant with DIN EN ISO 14122 safety standards. Integrated industrial stair flights with standardized kickplates and handrails were detailed with zero-clash tolerances against adjacent plant services. The deliverable provided automated DSTV/NC1 files and modular assembly schedules, guaranteeing a rapid, 100% bolted crane-lift installation during tight scheduled plant shutdown windows.
